Bude & Surrounding Area

The charming little coastal town of Bude faces west into the rolling waves of the Atlantic Ocean in an unspoilt corner of North Cornwall. Its close proximity to the Devon border makes Bude an ideal centre for touring and exploring.

Bude boasts many attractions including three beautiful sandy beaches for swimming, surfing or body-boarding, a free sea-filled swimming pool, miles of idyllic coastal path walking, a fine canal for fishing and boating. In-door attractions include ten pin bowling, ‘Splash’ pool with wave machine and a near-by cinema.

Other outdoor activities include golf, pitch and putt, cycling, horse riding, bowls, tennis and indoor leisure centre.

Travelling north along the coastal Atlantic Highway will take you to the captivating villages of Clovelly and Hartland. A few miles further is the pretty quayside town of Bideford.

Travelling South along the coast will take you to the historic villages of Boscastle and Tintagel. The picturesque harbour of Padstow lies a few miles further. All are easily accessible, within an hours pleasant drive.

The cathedral city of Exeter and the delights of Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor, together with the fascinating Eden Project, are inland to the south.
